2005 – Zoe Dell Lantis Nutter received the Achievement in Aviation Award for her significant achievements and contributions to the development of air transport. As Official Hostess and Pirate Theme Girl of the 1939/40 Golden Gate Exposition on Treasure Island, she flew over 100,000 miles to promote the safety and comfort of commercial aviation. The experience was the catalyst for her lifelong involvement and passion for aviation. Inducted into the Living Legend of Aviation in 2009, she was named “First Lady of Aviation” by the Committee.
